Today's Inspiration

Click to see full views here

Hello. I wanted to share the scans I found today from some old (2 years old?) Urban Outfitters catalogs for your inspiration needs. In my opinion Urban Outfitter lacks the creativity it once had in their catalogs. Taking about inspiration; have you seen the new monthly Inspiration E-zine by design for manking blogger, No?? Head over there right now, it's full of eye candy.

I also wanted to thank all the bloggers who had patience with me to still keep me in their blogroll and/or for their comments, to all the bloggers who inspire, who makes us dream, imagine, reflect, thank, wish. Thank you!

for the walls

Every time I head over The Home Depot or any other paint store you can always find paint chips in my handbag to later discard never to imagine that they are actually very useful (see card holder idea and artwork). Anthropologie stylist decided to use them for the walls, very ingenious as always. I love finding everyday items to incorporate in the decor!

OFF SCALE

In a place such as Alice’s Wonderland drink from a bottle with the label “DRINK ME” and you’ll shrink or choose to eat cake and objects will suddenly appear enormous.
Uncomplicated enough buy oversized items or miniatures for home!

I'm not very good at scanning magazine pages, sorry!

My favorite part of the kitchen... The cupboard/cabinet shelves! seeing color; pretty appliances and unique dinnerware make time feel a bit more pleasant in the kitchen. Eating off delicate plates and sipping from dainty cups makes me happy even if I'm eating leftovers.

I swear I meant to update sooner but WORK and new Puppies have my hands tied up! :-(

Mode Magazine

Alex's pink & black office

Displays:
Right: on Wilhelmina's office feminine display, colorful rotary telephones and high heels displays that are constant change

Ugly Betty Season Premiers today. To celebrate its return my favorite rooms are on this post. The TV Series Mode Magazine's décor I something I like to observe quite alot. Their offices full of kartell & modern furnishing; Panton chairs, Kartell Bourgie & FL/Y lamps, orange Charles Ghost stools & Swivel chairs, and white Tom Vac Chairs, etc.

never run out of place AGAIN!

A vintage pink refrigerator used as an extra storage place for books in a small space.
Imagine a friend coming over and looking inside the fridge... this made me giggle ^_^

Glamour in the kitchen. Never an expectation for a kitchen! This Armour serves as a grand storage piece here.

I guess you won't be able to lit the fireplace after all unless you considering burning the books. jk ;)

anthropologie inspired

I'm always amazed about what the creative people at ANTHROPOLOGIE are doing next with their store and catalog displays. but I just never looked up to Anthropologie as a source for inspiration for wall art prints! And when Design*Sponge was re-painting her bathroom walls, she looked no further than the Anthropologie site for inspiration. She did do a great job with the"bean mural", I'd say better than the actual Anthro wallpaper print (and again aren't they all her diy projects?)

NO TITLE JUST INSPIRED....

"The forms he [David Trubridge) creates in this environment, his sculptures and furniture, speak of simplicity and the fragility of life..."

I love the beautiful shadows that the cut-outs of the DAVID TRUBRIDGE coral lamp cast in the walls of this very gloomy dining room.... ALWAYS INSPIRED BY THE PHOTOS ON FLICKR.COM ...

GOOD NEWS...

(Today I'm posting mostly anthropologie inspiration!)

Can you imagine newspaper walls? My first thought "they belong in a cage" but of course Anthropologie had to prove me wrong although I wouldn't probably use them in my home! I think the furnishings also help pull it off editorially!

Anthropologie catalogs:

I think I rather go with this newspaper chair!
